Whirlwind to Williamsberg
This past weekend, on a whim, we decided to take advantage of Aneheuser-Busch's support the troops program and use our free one day pass at Busch Gardens in Williamsberg. We decided this at three on Friday afternoon, and were on the road by five! We stayed in a hotel Friday night, enjoyed the park to the best of our abilities on Saturday, crashed in the hotel again Saturday and made the drive back home on Sunday. The boys had a great time in the park. They were well behaved and had a lot of fun. Dominic and I were even able to swap out on a few of the more exciting roller coasters, all though the best ones had too long of a line to even try. We were also able to squeeze in a beer tasting and could sample some of their more flavorful selections, it was good we found things that we never would have tried because if the Busch label and both hating bud light. The weather was nice, in the 70's. We rented a stroller there and enjoyed this chance to be together and do something different. It was a quick trip but a lot of fun, and worth the effort, and made better by the fact that we got in the park for free! It was also good that it was Busch Gardens, and not Disney, so I was not so stressed trying to get things done that I wanted to do, but could better enjoy the day as it came to us, which is a much better attitude to have when traveling with children. So yeah, that was us last weekend. The pictures do not do it justice, at all. :-)
