Now we know what Saturday feels like

Liam has been in preschool for going on his third week now. We finally know what a real Saturday feels like. When you have little ones at home all the time life tends to be the same every day, especially when Daddy isn't coming home, and that has been my life the past 4 years. Well, now Liam is in preschool Monday-Friday from 8:30-2:30, and I like it. I thought I might not, since he is gone most of the day, but now I really enjoy the time we do have together, and he gets home early enough in the afternoon that we still have a lot of time to play. The first weekend from school the boys played nicely together for most of Saturday and a good bit into Sunday as well, the had fun as you can see in the video. They made a mess of their bedroom, but I remembered back to when my parents tolerated Barbie world under their dining room table, or all over the family room for weeks at a time, and was happy they were content to stay in the bedroom!!! It was fun for me too, to watch them play so well together. By Monday(labor day) they were back to their normal selves, so we were happy to get back into the swing of things on Tuesday. This past weekend was a little more difficult with the heavy rains on Saturday and needing to keep relatively quiet as Dominic was at home sleeping for the first time in 3 days...but I have faith that as we continue to roll with the school year, that the fun Saturday of the first week will come back more often than not. Now if only I can get used to all the homework...but that is another story for another posting......
