Desperate Times...

Okay, so according to some, I may not win mother of the year. I think I do an okay job, but whatever. Sometimes, I just decide not to fight on an issue for the day, to let is slide, as is evidenced by these videos. The weekend of the tropical storm, Dom came home to sleep, and I was housebound with two active boys...trying to keep them down to a dull roar, so as you can see, I let some things slide. I let them dance on our coffee table. They were having fun. There is nothing on the table for them to break. Well, now the law has been laid down, no more dancing on the coffee table. I hope the boys enjoyed their stint as table dancers, it appears that this is all the fun for them. I also let them climb on the top of the couch! (Gasp!) Which again, they can no longer do. My excuse to them was the hurricane and all the rain, we'll see if it will fly with my active boys. I think what I really need to do is convert our basement into some padded obstacle course or something, hmmmmm....

Hi Guys, I've seen these material tube things that kids can play through. Maybe the kids would like them and they would be less dangerous than climbing on the table. Also no fears of stuff breaking. I think you can get them at Target. The most important thing is to make sure that you and Dom are on the same page and that things are talked through in a respectful way. Have a great day!!

Dear Angela,

Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of the everyday goings on. i am so happy that you and Dominic have a good relationship, where he can offer his concerns freely to you.

And what an honor it is to be a believing wife, who listens to her husband. It is one of the greatest honors we can give to our husbands - the honor when we listen and respect his wishes, even when they are different from ours.

Also, it is a very rare husband indeed who would give hurtful, or wrong advise. Every time i ever agreed with my own husband, he always turned out to be the giver of great helpful advise.

Lucky You!

I love how finn dances on the table after Liam lol. you are so nice to let them do that. I think even being couped up, I wouldn't, but at least that table is close to the ground. I wouldn't be worried about saftey, just their crying WHEN they got hurt lol
