Dinner Guest
Tonight one of Dominic's study buddies came over for dinner, a Mr. Young to the boys. Dom and "Mr. Young" had been studying together all day, came home for a short break and went back to studying once they boys were on their way to bed. I have decided that I very much like having someone over for dinner. The boys were on their best behavior, and actually ate what I made with out complaint (Rosemary Pork with potatoes and homemade apple sauce, granted it makes its way to the dinner table a lot and is familiar dish) In the past the boys would gobble up the applesauce, but not the pork. Liam would claim that he couldn't swallow it. Well, the family rule is you have to nicely eat one bite of what mom makes for dinner, and if you don't like it than you can have a ham sandwich. So Liam decided to take his bite of meat so he could be done, and asked Mr. Young to take a bite with him. They somehow got into a race to see who would swallow the bite first, and Mr Young graciously let Liam win. Well, this was too much fun to do just once, Liam managed to polish off what was left of the meat (a full grown up serving!) in his race to beat Mr Young. No problems with swallowing this time, all my nagging thoughts in the back of my head that just maybe he does have some issue with swallowing are out the window! He ate more meat tonight at dinner than he has choked down all year!!! Needless to say, I am hoping that Mr Young wants to come over for dinner again!

Very cool! It's always a victory when we get them to eat something good for them, isn't it?
