Last week A friend of ours invited us to go out blueberry picking. We went early one morning to "avoid the heat" but it was still hot and sticky out, as you can maybe tell from the hazy pictures. Anyway, the boys had a blast running though the berry bushes grabbing handfuls of blueberries. Some made it into our bucket. I was more persistent about picking a good quantity. We ended up with about 3.5 lbs after an hour of berry picking. And it was only $3.50. We ate almost half in the first day, Finn LOVES Blueberries!!!!! He even says it very clearly. I managed to freeze about half of what was left for use later. I had these big plans of making a pie and fresh blueberry muffins, but we just ate them too fast. Maybe we can get back out picking again soon.

this looks fun, i have another friend who has been posting this on their blog too and they are stationed in NC too. There must be a lot of blueberry farms around.
