For those of you not familiar with little boys, super hero's are the thing to be. Girls have princesses, and boys have superheros! Liam was a little sad the other day when he realized that he can't really be a superhero when he grows up. I guess he is getting smarter, because I have never told him any such thing. But I guess he knows that right now he doesn't have any super powers, even if he does like to pretend that he can shoot heat from his hand. (he even drew a picture of it in school yesterday!) Liam is notorious for telling everyone as he leaves anywhere that if they need any help, to call him and he will be right over, because he is a superhero! My sweet child! I have tried to keep the hope alive in him, and let him know he can still be a hero, even if he never gets superpowers. I tell him there are lots of ordinary hero's walking around everyday. Of course the ones with superpowers are what gets his attention right now, and he's 4, so that's okay. I encourage him to think of being a super hero and all the good things he can do as a hero in locking up the bad guys and helping people who need it. This week we have been talking about how God even loves the bad guys, and that's why we have to put them in jail instead of killing them, so that the bad guys can maybe have the chance to decided to tell God they love Him too. I think the message just might be sinking in...but we will see. Everything is a teachable moment in this whole parenting thing.
Anyway, enjoy the photos of my little superheros playing dress-up. Its one of their favorite things to do right now.

so cute. I love to read how you take ordinary things and turn them into lessons about god. I have always loved that about you.
That is so adorable that he tells people to call him if they are in need. I love it, so caring. What a sweetheart, oh I miss them.....and you guys too, but little Liam is just so special. I am excited to see what he grows up to be, I know he will be a very special man. I can see him turning into a world traveler.(he already is in his 4 1/2 yr. here)
