Finnigan Turns 2!

2 years ago, Finnigan entered the world at 10:31 am, Italian time. My labor started early in the morning around 3:30, and progressed well. When I got to the birthing center on post I was at 4cm and contracting every 5 minutes, but I was scheduled for an an induction, and so induce me they did. By 8:30 I was on pitocin and my water had broken. By 9:30 I was hooked up with an epidural (which I will NEVER DO AGAIN!!!!! I HATED it!) By 10:30 Finn was out and it was all said and done! Pfew!
Last year when Finnigan turned one we were back stateside. Finnigan was getting better at walking, starting to climb and was talking a little bit. Now that he is two, walking is old news, he can do it backwards, forwards, he can jump and hop, he is an excellent climber (!!!) And he is quite the talker. He is all ready consistently speaking in 4 or more word sentences! I can't wait to see how much he will have grown again by next year!
This year we had a little party for Finn. We had the three families that Finnigan consistently sees and whose names he knows. The O'Dowds with baby Caylee, The Tugaoens with Noelani and Kekoa, and the Kramlichs with Georgia, Catelina and baby Isobel. It was a fun little party. Finn loved it best when eveyone sang "Happy Birthday" to him, he laughed the whole way through!

FYI the huge green thing you see in our living room....well, we *thought* it was a big pop-up tent thing-y, but Oh-No, we were sadly mistaken! Poor Dominic had to Velcro about 30 different pieces together, while the boys looked on, anxiously! Its really cool, and the boys love it, but I'm sure once we take it down, that will be the end of the giant turtle/dino tent.

how exciting. we talked about getting trikes for laycee and logan for christmas, but they tried on a few and they were too short, so i decided maybe next year since their birthday is next month and they won't have grown enough. I remember you wishing so desperately about having finn before he got here, i can't believe it has been 2 years already.

Thank you again for allowing us to share these moments!!!!! Gramma Doris just told me that she keeps the boys Christmas card on her refridgerater, so she can push the button every time she walks by.
