A trip to the zoo

Dominic didn't have to study as hard this weekend, and so we took advantage of that fact, and the warmer sunny day and decided to take the boys to the zoo today. We had a fun day, and saw many animals. Liam's favorite was the parrot. Finnigan also loved the birds, so much so that he learned the sign and word and was pointing them out all day long. He was also very interested in the ostrich and the gorilla, both of which were very close to the glass, so he could really look at them. Dominic really enjoyed looking at the gorilla and chimpanze's even though the gorilla picked his nose and ate it, which the boys though was really funny. I loved looking at the elephants. They are my most favorite animal of all, closely followed by giraffes. It was a little disturbing at the elephant pen however as the male elephant looked ready to mate...really ready, it looked like it would happen at any moment, he kept checking the female out...and well we left pretty quickly to avoid any uncomfortable conversations with Liam. Oh the animal kingdom is full of suprises. The zoo was wonderful and very family friendly. Super stroller friendly, and at almost every exhibit they had some neat thing to touch, or climb on, or in...they even had videos at some places. Liam learned how monkeys make tools and medicine for themselves and told me all about it. Maybe its just life in the USA again...They even had a cool park with tons of bugs to climb all over. Needless to say, we are all worn out by now, but had such a wonderful day together. I really love my little family, they are wonderful.
