Here is a cute video of my kids being kids. They were super excited to help out with the whole brewing process. And Finnigan is at that great stage when he tries to do everything he sees everyone else do, but of course he is tiny and cute, so it is cute cute cute. We bottled this weekend, and now we just have to wait one month until we can drink the beer. I am excited. Finn was great at helping me get the beer into the bottles (we gave him a plastic bottle and a bottle brush to shove in there, and it kept him busy.) Liam was great at capping. He loved to use the capper and put the tops on, I'll upload photos of that later.
Today was a good day, it is getting so nice out, so we spent much of the day outside. In fact my children and dog riot at the door until I agree that it is time to go out!!! I finally got a leaf blower, and cord to blow up the bouncy castle we got from some friends, so we are excited to try that out tomorrow afternoon. And my parents were gracious enough to get us another water table to replace the one the broke, and its in the mail!!!! I am excited to have the water table back as both my children love to play in it all the time, and its a nice easy way to cool off.
The only hard part about today we getting my normal Monday chore of making my grocery list. Sometimes its so boring to menu plan and come up with what to eat for the week all by myself. I try to come up with 5 dinners, and then I just fill standard stuff for lunches and breakfast...but sometimes its so hard to think of what to make for dinner, and try to keep it in budget, and healthy, and something my kids might actually eat....I think it will be a good week, but it took me all day of pondering to settle on what I will make. I try to post new recipes on Wednesday, so I maybe have a chance to try my new ones before they make it to the blog, in case they are no good, or we make changes to suit our tastes, so if you like recipes, check then. Right now I am into meals I can prep or prepare while Finn is napping, stuff that I can bake in the oven, or turn the heat on later in the day, closer to dinner, since right at normal dinner prep time is when Finnigan does not want to be put down, and its really hard to chop veggies with a squirmy toddler in my arms.
okay, enough rambling for the night. Its time for me to relax. Happy St. Patricks Day!
