Finnigan is starting to discover that what he "says"elicits a reaction from us, in getting him what he wants. Its always so exciting when they start to realize they can communicate beyond crying. Of course no one but mom understands what he is saying, but at least its a start. He is also trying to sign more too, but again, its slow going as he learns to manipulate his hands and voice.
Here is what Finn says/and what it means:
bup/cup or something to drink-working on this sign
amama/mama
dada/obviously daddy
eee-eee/Keely or any dog or small animal
da/dog-working on this sign
num-num/eating something good
ba/ball-he also signs it
da/done, when said from high chair, also signs
ma/more, sign
Thats all I can think of for now. We are also working on the signs for please, and eat and help and shoes, and hopefully that will come soon, and continue this explosion of communication. He can als point to his mouth when asked, and his feet, because he loves to take his socks off. See the video below, you can hear him say "bup" right in the begining, and I think he also says dada. It is sweet, and gosh, I really love this little boy of mine.
