Here I am yet again a witness to God hearning and answering prayers, no matter how silly. The past few mornings Finn has been hearing Dom moving around at 5am, and has wanted to be awake. I refuse to wake at 5am, so we've had some early morning bouts of crying, which is not fun of course. I've been able to settle him down around 6, and Liam starts to fidget aroun 6:30. I don't like waking early if I don't have to.
Well today, Finn started his fussing again, and would not fall back asleep, so I desperation (isn't it always?) I sent a plea for God to smile on me. I'm watching my friends two kids today from 9:30-3:30 and just knew I would not be able to keep my cool if we were up at 5. So I prayed that God would let my children sleep till 8 (I thought I would go big as long as I was asking) Wouldn't you know it, but Finn fell asleep, and stayed asleep till 8:30!!! Liam woke around 8, and so did I, thanking God for His tender mercy. I was able to take the dog out, and eat a bowl of cereal before I got the little one. It was wonderful.
So just in case you didn't know, God loves us, hears us, and smiles upon us when we need it. This is not the first time this has happened for me. When I need it most, God sends peace to me and my children. I know he would do the same for you if you asked.
PS the boys are resting and the babies are napping, which is why I am able to post (and eat a quick sandwich)
