testing, testing...

Nona and her boys

The three grandsons

Well, Nona has made her way home, with lots of tears on our side...and we are trying to find our way as a new family of five. So far, the baby is the easiest part. Now that the novelty of having a new brother has worn off the boys have gone into a testing mommy phase. How much can they get away with now that I am busy with a newborn? Really, they can't get away with anything new, but they are testing us with all their might. (and it is exhausting!!!)
Listening and obeying has gone out the window as far as my boys are concerned. I am sticking to my guns, and waiting for when they realize that nothing has changed. So far going from 2 to 3 is rather difficult. When it was just two, it was easy to have Liam sit with me so we could read books or snuggle while I fed baby Finn. Now I try to have the two boys sit with me for snuggling, they instead take turns irritating each other. Sometimes they play nicely together, but most of the time, they know how to push each others buttons, and do so with great energy and joy! I'm hoping that soon they will play with each other instead of irritate each other. sigh. I don't have much hope though.
So anyway, that is what's new with us. Keep us in your prayers as I continue to offer up the challenges of my day for all of you. :-)

seamus is growing so big... and i agree... well I never went from 2-3 but 2-4 was hard. I think knowing you had two hands and now there aren't enough for them. I donno, but you make it through and the kids eventually realize that you are still the same authoritarian lol
