This past weekend we Baptised Seamus. It was a beautiful baptism, he was so quiet the whole time, and the youngest baptised that day. It was crazy to figure out when we would have the baptism working with a deploying Godfather, a TDY daddy, grandparents, and our new priest who really really really wanted to baptise Seamus. In the end we got a date that worked with Dom and the priest, the two most important of the equation. We were sad not to be able to share with our family, but rest assured that our "family" down here stepped up with great joy to help welcome Seamus into the family of God! :-)
The baptism was during mass, and Finn almost made it all the way through, we have been working hard on that this summer. After mass we had a small break to finalize things for a party out at our house. We had a full house, and it was so much fun! I just love celebrating the sacraments. I hardly got to hold Seamus because he was passed from hand to hand, everyone wanted their turn. A whole herd of kids played happily upstairs (where they weren't as loud) while all the adults conversed downstairs. I thought it was a great party!
