3 weeks!

we are doing well. Seamus is 3 weeks old today, and I cannot believe how quickly the time has passed. It has been an ENORMOUS help having Nona Patty (Dom's mom) here for the past two weeks! She has been great playing with the boys while I hold the baby and sleep, or holding the sleeping baby while I snuggle with the boys. I really am not sure how we all will function when she leaves. :-( I'm sure we will figure it out, it will just take time and patience...

Seamus is doing well, he is all ready 9.4 pounds and grew .2 of an inch! He is nursing well and frequently, but not constantly! :-) he sleeps well for the most part, especially if I hold him. I am trying to put him down a little more often, especially at night, but sometimes the desire/need for sleep wins out.

The other two boys were screaming with colic from the very start, and so far that has not been the case with Seamus...it may still come, but thus far he is a very patient baby. He fusses a little bit, don't get me wrong, but he can be soothed rather quickly and easily thus far, especially compared to the hours of screaming we had with the other two right from the start. He is beautiful, and starting to wake up to the world around him from time to time. He has the sweetest face, sweet blue eyes, and still tons of hair. He can hold his head a little bit and looks around when he hears familiar voices. I swear I've heard him coo twice! I'm still waiting for the first smile, but I'm sure it will come soon, its still early! This little man also likes to roll from side to side...I just may have another early developer on my hands, but I guess when you enter the world at nearly 9 pounds, what can I expect!

Anyway, just a little update from us while Grandma and daddy have all three boys occupied. Give me a few more weeks and I'll hopefully get back into the swing of blogging. :-)
