This year we were tempted by a Jedi party, because "Luke Skywalker is my favorite because we have the same hair" but in the end went with a Pirate theme for a small party of our closest friends. I am feeling too run down to do anything huge, so we limited it to 5 friends. Dominic put together this amazing treasure hunt out in the back yard with elaborate clues hidden in bottles that we all went out to find, going from one clue to the next. I think daddy was most excited about the pirate theme. It sure was fun running around dressed like pirates till we found our way back to the treasure, which was cake and ice cream. Yes, the cake is pink, but Liam loves strawberry cake and frosting and ice cream, "even if they are pink" :-) It was a fun afternoon, I hope you don't think I went overboard on the pirate pictures, its just that my boys make such cute pirates!
Today was Liam's official birthday. We had a normal most of our day, school and what not. But then when Dom came home from work we opened presents and then went out to a restaurant of Liam's choosing. The boy LOVES Olive Garden, he asks to go there almost every week! This is the first time we've gone since before I was pregnant. (we don't go out much) The boys did well despite the fact that we had the slowest server ever. Honestly. He made up for it though by getting everyone to sing to Liam. I wish I had taken a picture, his smile was HUGE! ("the whole thing was my favorite, but when they sang was the most fun part!") All in all I think he had a fun birthday. Now we look ahead to this weekend when we will go camping on the beach. (I love my husband!) Enjoy the photos, sorry if there are too many. :-)

Happy Birthday liam! It will be very surreal when you send him off to kindergarten in the fall. It seems they grow up so fast!
