The Dragon Riders
Once again I am wondering why my boys literally have a room full of toys when they never play with them. Our new house is two stories, and their toys are all in their bedroom upstairs. For some reason they never want to go upstairs and play with their toys, even if I am upstairs with them! Downstairs has more room to run, and jump which I think is the big selling point for them right now. I'm not ready to toss all the toys yet, but I do feel a big purge coming on! Maybe once the novelty of our new house has worn off they will get back into playing trains and cars again. Anyway, so in not playing with their toys they find all sorts of other things to play with. Last week a friend gave us some big foam swords (thank you Aly!) These are great because they don't really hurt when they whack you with them! The boys play with them every day, all day long, running around and around and around. In an effort to contain them just a little bit, Dominic made them a "dragon" that they could fight. They decided to ride on it instead. They grabbed an Easter basket and "packed" for their trip, and rode the dragon and then got off and proceeded to fight it. :-) It was so much fun to watch them playing nicely together, and to use their imaginations. It was one of my happiest moments as a mother. :-)
