Christmas Quiz

I've gotten some variation of the quiz from about 10 people now, so I finally decided it was my turn to answer. Enjoy. (or skip if you don't really care)

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? wrapping paper, I know its not the "green thing" to do, but I love the sound of ripping paper on Christmas morning.
2. Real tree or Artificial? artificial. we bought one when we were engaged, and still have it.
3. When do you put up the tree?Usually the first Sunday of Advent, or as close to it as we can get with Dominic around
4. When do you take the tree down? Epiphany. I love to celebrate the full 12 days of Christmas!
5. Do you like eggnog? I hate it, it reminds me of snot, but the boys LOVE IT!!!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? its hard to remember, maybe a Cabbage Patch Kid, probably my corn silk one, I also loved the My Little Pony Castle, and Barbie Townhouse
7. Hardest person to buy for? Dominic, he is very particular
8. Easiest person to buy for? the boys
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes, and I love it! It could use a little filling out though (hint hint)
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? I'm not really a Christmas cards kind of gal, I very sporadically will do them, but I love to get them in the mail!
11.Worst Christmas gift you ever received? it was a decoy gift, but the old broken TV my parents "gave" me to throw me off the track of the new one they really got for me, but there were a few moments of disappointment until the real gift was revealed.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Holiday Inn
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Late summer to early fall, but I am way behind schedule this year
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? no way!
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? I love frosted sugar cookies, especially if I didn't have to make them.
16. Lights on the tree? the more the merrier, but I prefer them to be all one color, blue if I can find it.
17. Favorite Christmas song? Sacred, O Holy Night Secular:White Christmas (sung by Bing Crosby of course!)
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? stay home
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner Blitxen and Rudolph
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? a star
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas morning
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? truly, the secularization of Christmas!!! I am so sick of hearing "Happy Holidays" People forget that we would all be lost if Christ did not come to us as a baby!!!! We celebrate the greatest gift of all, the gift of God coming to the earth to bring us salvation. I get very frustrated that we aren't allowed to celebrate that in public anymore.
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? I love blue and silver
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Turkey or ham with all the trimmings
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? oh boy, I don't know. to find my maternity clothes, and if not, than maternity clothes.
26. Who is most likely to respond to this? no one
27. Who is least likely to respond to this? no one
28. Who is the first person to wake up on Christmas morning? they boys, but they are always the first to wake up every morning.
29. Favorite Reindeer? no favorite
30. What was the one worst Christmas ever? anytime spent with family celebrating love is good, I don't think I've had a "bad" one yet
31. Favorite thing to do on Christmas eve? hang out with friends and or family
32. Have you always celebrated Christmas on the 25th? yes and many other days too depending on how much family and traveling we do
33. Have you ever kissed under a mistletoe? yes
34. Do you believe in Santa? a big man in a red suit who comes down the chimney to deliver toys? No. But I do believe and know about St Nicholas who was a real person in the 3rd century who snuck into peoples houses and gave money to people who had none, and he was a Bishop so he wore a red cloak..... and I believe in the people who have carried on his tradition for centuries honoring this great example of loving as Christ loves. and that is where Santa comes from. (all though we've gone way off the mark!) :-)
