It was nice to have our own little Christmas this year, to have gifts under our tree, to do things our way. We went to Christmas Eve mass at 8, and that was wild and crazy, the boys were too tired to sit still at all. We came home and put them to bed. Christmas morning the boys woke at their normal time of 7. We ran out to see what Santa left us. The boys played with these new toys for awhile, which gave me time to put the turnovers in the oven. Then we looked in our stockings, and played with those toys for a while too. Finally, an hour later we were ready to dive into our huge pile of presents under the tree. It took quite some time to get through the large stash, mainly because we had to play with each new toy before moving onto the next package. We took a break to eat cherry turnovers and make coffee.
Once all the toys were unwrapped we enjoyed the rest of the day staying at home and playing with all of our new toys. We even got the boys out of the house a bit to take a walk. (It was in the 60's). Enjoy the photos!

I LOVE quiet Christmas' like that. We did pretty much the same thing and it made for a really nice day.
kids make it so fun, dont they, very cute. p.s.did you get a new dog, or are you dogsitting?
