been a long time

well, we are in our new home, and we've even painted.  Everything is set up and almost working (just waiting on the microwave) I've done our taxes, figured out school for next year, found a parish family and even made some new friends!  Its been a busy month!  Seamus is crawling all over the place and making messes everywhere he goes, so I don't have much time to catch up on blogging any more. Now that life has hit a sort of routine I will do better (I hope) So, big news....
Next year we will start homeschooling.  I am less than pleased with our local elemantary and cannot afford private.  I am excited to start this new adventure, and also nervous.  Please keep us in your prayers. Thankfully the parish that we now attend is filled with other homeschoolers so I should have a lot of support once we get going.  I have choosen the program we will be going with at least for the first year as we get started and figure things out.
Finnigan is talking a lot. A lot!  He is so sweet and such a little boy in so many ways, but now that he is three, he just seems so much older all of the sudden. And full of even more michief.  He is so different from Liam, and always suprises me.  One of the benefits of being the second child is that I haven't hooverd so much around him, so he is very capeable in entertaining himself and playing alone.  Too much so, because Liam doesn't really know how to play alone and so I spend all my days giving Finn the time he needs to be alone, and Liam the time he needs to be playing with someone.  It is a crazy balancing act.  Motherhood is full of so many interesting challenges I never even considered!
Seamus cut his first two teeth (on the bottom) with in a day of each other.  That was a rough week for the poor little baby!  He also figured out how to crawl up the stairs and shoots over in that direction whenever he gets the chance! He's taken a few tumbles before I've been able to grab him!  Little stinker.  He is as sweet as ever, we are so lucky God graced us with him!
Dominic has started work and is figuring things out.  We don't see much of him, which makes me even more happy that we live as close to base as we do.  The less time he spends commuting, the more time he has with us!  We are getting used to his being in and out a lot, this summer will be full of his coming and going. He's also getting used to being a home owner and all the little "handy man" tasks that requires, its a steep learning curve, he fnds it challenging, but soon I have confidence that he will be a pro just like everything else he tries!
I'm doing fine.  The boys keep me busy, keeping our house clean keeps me busy. I am so happy to meet new friends and settle into the life God has for us out here.  It is so wonderful to have found a great parish with a wonderful priest.  Church becomes our family wherever we move, and this place has been no exception. Thank you all for your prayers, we have found wonderful people who welcomed us into their family right away.  God is so good!

yeah, I figured it wouldn't take too much to just blab instead of being all fancy about it all. :-) I didn't even spell check, and so now I am cringing as I reread it. I am waiting to get my laptop and skyping till we get this first mortage payement and first round of utilities out of the way so I know how much money I need to keep on hand...its been awhile since I've worried about those types of things...soon though, its top on our list. (well, under the big TV that is)

So happy everything is working out well for you. What an exciting adventure--homeschooling. That is something I really enjoyed doing with Brendan--a lot of work, but worth it. We are blessed with fabulous schools here so that is where they will stay, but I'm open to the possibility again should the need arise. Keep us posted on your wonderful family!!!
