Fishing

Now that Dominic has invested is $12 in a NC salt water fishing license, and his copious amounts of Gander Mountain gift cards into a very nice saltwater fishing pole he has been encouraging us to go to the beach to fish every chance he can get. It is getting "warmer" but still not hot, and the cool Atlantic breeze blows right in from the ocean, so it can be a long cold day. But if you know anything about fishermen, it is that they are dedicated to their task no matter what the cost, and even if there is very little pay off.
We invested some of our money in to smaller Spider man poles for the boys. Finn isn't too into the fishing, he would rather play in the sand and throw rocks, which is fine with me. I get nervous with a two year old trying to cast with a sharp hook at the end. Liam likes to fish, and he is very good at casting and reeling it in. (Better than I am!) We haven't had much luck fishing in the surf the past few times we have gone. He says that he prefers to fish in a lake off a boat, that he is much better at fishing that way. He caught a lot of fish when he went fishing with Papa Rick last summer. We told him that Papa Rick has been fishing a lot and is very good at finding fish in lakes, that it is harder to find them in the ocean.
Dom's next dream purchase is a wetsuit so he can get his line further out of the surf where more fish are. But for now we are having as much fun as we can playing on the beach waiting for the fish to bite.

we were just talking about going fishing too, but we haven't seen much sun and I don't want to go fishing in the rain
