Catching up before I get further behind....

Below is a slide show of some of the things we did while Dom was gone, and while our computer was down. Rather than give each its own posting, I'm just going to stick them all together. We went fishing yesterday at Onslow beach and are leaving tomorrow for Myrtle Beach, and so I will have much to post when we get back. I got out of the habit of posting things here when the computer was down. Also I have been taking naps with Finn in the afternoons which had been my normal blogging time, and sitting in the hallway till he falls asleep each night, and then spending time with Dominic now that he has time to spend with us! :-)
So anyway here is a summary of what you will see in the photos...the day before Dom was to come home from his rotation the boys and I made oatmeal raisin cookies (Dominic's favorite) And Liam's favorite since Fr Hurley told him they were "healthy cookies" (as opposed to the frosted sugar cookies that were the other option the one night I had to drag the boys to a parish council meeting with me.) They are excellent at pouring and mixing, but get a little bored with the whole putting on and taking off the cookie sheet. They are also really good at eating them, but we made enough to be sure there were still some when Dominic came home. ;-)
The day Dom came home was really nice, in the 70's and sunny. Our gracious neighbors the O'Dowds offered to let the boys help wash the car to help me kill some time till Dom made it home after dinner. Of course the boys had a good time, I don't think they damaged our neighbors car at all, and in the end the boys were soaked and the car was clean! Maggie, and baby Kailey enjoyed the show. :-)
Finn enjoyed daddy coming home, and now he talks up a storm. We went to Dom's Medic Course party where they had a nice BBQ and Liam got food all over his face and enjoyed running around with all the other kids. I had toe opportunity to volunteer at Liam's "Friendship Ball" It was a fun Valentines Day party for all the preschoolers. There were lots of different games, and dancing. I manned the coloring table and got to pass out candy when they finished coloring. It was fun to support Liam's school in this way, and see how Liam interacts with his class a little bit more. Plus I got to steal a few extra hugs from my big boy who is now too old to smile apparently. :-) (have you noticed lately that he has started smiling with his mouth closed just like Dom??)
Anyway so that's been us for the past few weeks. My next project will be figuring out how to get pictures off my phone and onto the blog 'cause I have some cute ones of the boys casting their lines from yesterday!

Loved it all...Finn's tongue hanging out...the dog waiting behind Finn with the stick in her mouth, waiting and hoping...the VERY clean underside of the car...the cute new neighbor baby.
