Moving

Well folks. I must say that God is smiling down on our little family. Dominic got his promotion orders, and is now officially an E6 (Staff Sargent) With this promotion comes a pay increase and drum roll please....a chance to move into a different neighborhood!!!! So I found out that the neighborhood we wanted to move to had openings, and it was a tense few days waiting for Dominic to have the chance to get over there and see what we could get into. (I of course can't because my power of attorney expired 2 weeks ago, and Dom hasn't had the chance to get me a new one, spouses cannot do ANYTHING without that all important piece of paper. stupid military) Anyway he went this morning and found that two houses are open in the neighborhood that we like, he drove past them on his way from the housing office to work and the went back to the housing office over lunch and told them the one we wanted. So, we are moving 15 August into 8 Hamilton. Rather, the boys and I will be in Minnesota for the wedding, and Dominic will be doing the move solo, on his one week off of school. The poor man. No rest for the weary. I feel bad for him, but it was really the only time that worked, other than labor day, but he's not sure if he would even have it off.

If I can get my hands on some boxes in the next few days I hope to pack up the kitchen and the toys before flying to Minnesota. And we are still thinking about taking a little time to go to the beach this weekend with the boys. I don't know. I'm feeling a little stressed right now, but I am looking forward to returning to NC and a nice house. Hopefully the roaches will decide to stay here and not move with us (shudder!) And I am excited to be in Minnesota, I just wish Dom could be with us.

Here are some cute pictures of the boys "helping" me wash the windows the other day. The took rain water from the water table and used their hands to get the windows clean. Ahh Kids...
