Updating

We've had a few "milestones" going on in our family this past week. Finnigan has decided that he wants to try the whole potty thing. He hasn't made anything on the potty yet...but he does go into the bathroom to make his poopies. Anytime he hears us talk about the potty (which is a lot when you have a newly trained child in the house) he runs to the bathroom and tries to rip off his diaper. Also, he's not totally happy sitting in the little potty chair, he of course wants to sit on the big toilet, like the rest of us. I'm not holding my breath about him getting potty trained anytime soon...but I will encourage this behavior as long as it lasts.

Liam has started drawing faces. I feel like I've been waiting for this for a long time now. He's not into drawing the bodies yet, but I figure with time it will come. Right now he loves to draw faces, happy faces, sad faces, faces with hats and hair...it goes on and on. We went to a restaurant for lunch, and it was one of those cool places with the paper table clothes and color crayons. Liam filled up every available space with faces, and it kept both they boys occupied until our food arrived. I hope you enjoy the pictures, and that you can see how great Liam's faces are.

Finnigan cut another tooth, now the count is up to 6. Four on the top and two on the bottom. We turned off the cable too. We decided we didn't really watch it all that much, and that the boys were watching a little too much. Unfortunately, when we cut off the cable, we lost all of the TV, we don't even get the free networks, I'm not sure what kind of racket Time Warner has out here, but its pretty lame. Thankfully most of the shows that we watch are available online, we still get Netflix (and they have a ton of stuff online too) and anything we are really desperate for we can buy off of itunes. That's us so far. I've got some more cute pictures of the boys, so keep checking back.

Wow Angela, you look great! That is cool that Liam is drawing faces. Trent just started that this year when he started school. That is really cool about Finn trying to use the potty too. My mom potty trained my sister at 18 months because she wanted to try it out and she was potty training me. So maybe you will get lucky and he will actually potty train now!
