All Souls Daybook
Outside my Window:
I see grey skies, green grass, and changing leaves. The Pacific Northwest is a beautiful place to live.
I am Listening To:
The sounds of my children playing. They are still working out all the extra sugar and food dye from the past few days.
I am Praying for:
My sister and my sister in law have both asked for my prayers. They are never very far from my prayers anyway, but I am specifically focusing on their intentions this week. I am also praying for the upcoming elections. Please Lord, we need a new leader...I am Wearing:
Jeans, a navy blue tank top, a lilac colored T-shirt and a brown 3/4 length sleeve open sweater. I call this my "mommy uniform" practical, durable, washable, and just the tiniest bit stylish.
I am Thankful For:
My faith. I know it is a gift to truly believe with out always understanding all the details. My faith is what sustains me through these long exhausting days with my husband away. I am grateful for the fullness of the truth found in the Catholic Church. I find much to comfort and encouragement in the teachings.
In the Learning Room:
Oh boy...we've run out of steam and are having a bit of an "unschooling" week. Maybe next week we will get back into our normal schedule
I am Pondering:
The best way to run out the puppy's extra energy, since walking is getting harder now that it rains a lot, and the little kids are not content to ride in the stroller any more, meaning we walk at a very slow pace. Great for the kids...not so much for the puppy. I also need to figure out a way to get back to exercising myself.
In the Kitchen:
This week I am using up some leftovers I have in the freezer. I am hoping that next week will be a joyful week filled with lots of pie as my husband (might) be home.
I am Reading:
I am still on The Betrothed About 3/4 of the way through. It is pretty good. I have been enjoying it, and hope it has a happy ending...
Plans for the Week:
Nothing major, just normal busy stuff. I registered the kids for swimming again. Hoping they are all at the same time. Choir on Tuesday. I hope to get back into our normal school routine because we need it.
Picture Thought:
I need to get back into this:
Prayer:
On this, the feast of All Souls and for the month of November I pray:"May the souls of the faithful departed, though the mercy of God, rest in peace."
